It has been reported that 3 skiers have been injured in another avalanche in Annupuri, part of Niseko United.
The incident happened at the last gully before the cornice. All skiers were experienced and survived the 300 metre slide, albeit with injuries.

Todays Avalanche Information
- The avalanches in Yu no sawa and Higashi-One is now stable and the new snow on top of this layer is rounding and stabilizing.
- Avalanche hazard is low in areas below 1100m and the snow is in good condition.
- Peak gates and gate 5 (Hanazono) will open at 10:30, depending on lift operations.
- Refrain from stopping in gully bottoms or in the middle of the slope.
- Ride one by one and keep in mind that it’s Sunday and many people are expected to enter the mountain.
- Always seek ski patrol’s advice at the gates.
- Follow the fall line of the mountain and avoid traversing as much as possible, this can cause unstable conditions.

So that was pretty lucky! Is there many avalanches in Niseko during the season?
Depends on the season and conditions.
It was a little sketchy a few days back as we had one day of rain that created a ice layer and then new snow fell on top and it had not had enough time to bond the layers together.
