Fatal slip from ski lift

A 31-year-old Sydney adventurer slipped off a ski lift in Chile and died when he tried to make his way across the perilous Andes, his family says.

Julian Fine’s family stressed that he was doing nothing reckless when he fell from a ledge at the Portillo resort, north of Santiago, on Tuesday.
